Meet Gloria Seo

DBT-LINEHAN BOARD OF CERTIFICATION, CERTIFIED CLINICIAN
Gloria Seo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and a Board-Certified Supervisor in the state of Maryland. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Gloria treats a wide variety of mental health issues and has a special interest in challenging and difficult to treat children and adolescents.

Before opening her own practice, Gloria worked at Kennedy Krieger Institute, where she was the coordinator of the DBT program at the Trauma Center. Gloria is active in providing trainings and speaking at conferences on topics related to mental health, particularly trauma. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and teaches advanced level social work graduate students.

Gloria is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician, the only certification endorsed by Masha Linehan, PhD, the treatment developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Gloria is a trainer and consultant for Behavioral Tech, the only training organization endorsed by Dr. Linehan. She is also a trainer and consultant for Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Preadolescent Children (DBT-C), and works directly with the developer, Francheska Perepletikova, PhD.

Gloria is nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Gloria is certified in providing services in Korean through the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
